About PDF Converter
PDF Converter is a PDF workspace built on a simple idea: your documents should not have to leave your device to be merged, compressed, converted or signed.
Modern browsers can run serious software. We combine trusted open-source engines – Mozilla’s PDF.js, pdf-lib, QPDF and Tesseract – compiled to WebAssembly, with a clean interface designed to get one job done quickly. For the few jobs browsers cannot do well, we use a server and tell you so.
Our principles
- Do the work locally whenever it is feasible.
- Never pretend. If a conversion is approximate, the tool page explains what is kept and what is not.
- Free should be useful. Basic tools need no account and have no watermark.
