PDF

Fill in a form that has no fields, correct a typo with white-out and new text, highlight key passages, add arrows, boxes or your logo. PDF Converter’s editor works directly on the page preview, and everything you add is written into the PDF as real, crisp content – not a screenshot.

How to edit a PDF online for free

  1. Open your PDF in the editor.
  2. Choose a tool – Text, White-out, Rectangle, Highlight, Line or Image – and click or drag on the page.
  3. Move and resize items as needed, then press Save PDF.

Good to know

  • Text is embedded with a Unicode font, so accented and non-Latin characters work.
  • White-out covers content visually but does not delete the text underneath. To remove sensitive information for real, use Redact PDF.
  • This editor adds content; it does not rewrite existing text in place, which requires the original fonts.

Frequently asked questions

Can I edit existing text in a PDF?

You can cover the old text with white-out and type the replacement on top, which works well for small corrections. Rewriting the original text run directly is not supported.

Does the editor add a watermark?

No. Your document is saved without any branding.

Can I edit a scanned PDF?

Yes – you can add text, shapes and images on top of scanned pages. Run OCR PDF first if you also want searchable text.
